dean benscics

Dean Benscics was a good friend to Canadian Speedway. During his time at the races he was very instrumental in bringing in new riders including Big John Perry, a hugely popular character at the Paris Speedway track.

Dean was sadly killed in 2002 in a motor vehicle accident in Northern Ontario, and is sadly missed around the track!

His friend Big John Perry, began a night of celebration for Dean, which ran yearly until the demise of speedway at the Paris Speedway track.

The nights were full of some of the most memorable racing seen at Paris, and the event was always well attended by top riders from both Canada and the USA.

Dean was very popular and liked within the sport, and he is dearly missed.
